Charitable Donations
Applications for charitable donations are considered from not-for-profit organisations or registered charities which work to:
- improve healthcare; or
- promote science education and skills, particularly amongst young people;
in areas close to key sites (i.e. Avlon, Brixham, Edinburgh, Charnwood, Cheshire, Horizon Place [Luton]).
Local charities and not-for-profit organisations can apply directly for charitable donations through AstraZeneca’s community online donations system. In order to ensure that applications are efficiently administered, we can only accept them via the online system.
Before completing the online application form, we strongly advise you to read the support criteria and the terms and conditions applicable to your application. The technical guidance notes are also a useful source of information, as they provide an overview of the information that will be required during the application process and tips on how to complete the online form.

Please note that:
1. A patient group is defined as any not-for-profit organisation or charity that represents patients or the public with respect to any aspect of health care, including carers and relatives.
2. Although AstraZeneca may have been able to provide in-kind community donations (e.g. raffle prizes, equipment) in the past, unfortunately this is no longer possible.
3. AstraZeneca is also now focusing on providing donations directly to the beneficiary organisation and is unable to provide donations to finance fundraising activity on a not-for-profit organisation's or charity's behalf.
