Degree disciplines: Pharmacy

From research and development to manufacture and marketing, pharmacists have a key role to play throughout our organisation. As a newly qualified pharmacist, you can complete up to three different placements in your first six years with us. And as your career develops, explore the opportunities open to you in any or all of the following areas:

Development

This is the stage before a new drug hits the market. You could be optimising the effectiveness of new drug molecules, researching appropriate dosages and delivery devices, or conducting clinical trials. On the regulatory side, you could find yourself preparing documentation for marketing approval or clinical trials applications.

Operations When a new drug has been approved for production, that's when it's handed over to operations. Here you could be managing a large, multi-disciplined manufacturing team, or providing the technical know-how that enables us to improve our manufacturing processes. On the quality assurance side, it could be down to you to ensure that products meet our own exacting standards and those of regulatory bodies worldwide.

Marketing and Commercial Development

If developing marketing strategies and new commercial opportunities is what you're interested in, then this is the area for you. Drawing on your technical insight, you could be translating scientific knowledge into creative marketing messages, or acting as our interface with the customer by providing information about particular products.
