Improving healthcare and enhancing science education.

As part of our global commitment to corporate responsibility, AstraZeneca is committed to acting responsibly with regard to its economic, social and environmental impact on society. We aim to be responsible members of our local communities through charitable donations and employee engagement activities that bring sustainable benefit in ways that are consistent with our business.

• Charitable donations

  AstraZeneca provides support to UK charities and not-for-profit organisations local to its key sites.

  The programme supports two key themes:

  • Improving healthcare in the local community
  • Promoting science education and skills, in particular amongst young people.

  AstraZeneca encourages its employees to volunteer as part of the national STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Ambassador Programme.

  This programme enhances the delivery of STEM subjects in line with the National Curriculum.
